Driving to Texas

Happy Monday Friends,

This last week I finally had my defense (more about that tomorrow) and I have now moved back to Texas. I am currently sitting in my grandfathers living room, where I am going to be living for the next few weeks or maybe even a month. I am pretty excited about this adventure, I think it will be fun to live here for a while. I do know that I eventually want to live alone again.

After packing my entire apartment, well my parents packed most of it. We loaded all of my belongings onto a moving truck and started driving down to Texas. The drive through Missouri was pretty nice, lots of rolling hills and greenery. As I have a dog, it was fantastic to find a McAllister's with a patio for dinner, there was a good fence to tie Lily up and allow her a little freedom. We then proceeded to drive towards Tulsa. As Lily was with us I needed to find a pet friendly hotel, I used a website pet friendly dot com. This was the best find ever, this website lists every city and then the hotels within the city that are pet friendly.

Looking for a pet friendly hotel was somewhat difficult in that many of the hotels have weight limits for the dogs that they allow. But we did manage to find a place, the Comfort Suites in Tulsa. It was an alright hotel, it allowed Lily and had a mediocre breakfast buffet.

Lily and I are settling in nicely but I am really ready to be settled here in the Dallas Metroplex.
