Painting with a twist

I have always wanted to try a painting with a twist. I found it hard to find several people who wanted to paint the same picture since we all wanted to do something different. My friend Sarah just sent out an invite.. how does this look? and it was easier to say love it. So off we went.

I am not sure that I am super crafty, I like to follow a pattern and make sure that I am coloring in the lines. This was hard for me, I wanted it to look just like the model (which is impossible) so I constantly found that I struggled with that part. The leader was really good, she was just the right amount of helpful. Although, I just wanted her to paint mine at times....

We painted love birds... so yeah that didn't happen on mine. I changed the word love to hope. I have found that lovey-crap makes me feel bad about myself so I don't have it in my house anymore. But hope for true love worked.

I like how pink this turned out and how cute they are. I haven't hung the final product in the house but it is resting on a dresser in my bedroom. I am thinking that I will hang it in my office once I move. But I am way to lazy to get out nails at this point.

I think that I will really enjoy the next Painting with a Twist that I do since now I know the lay of the land. Some painters did totally novel things that I really loved but I was way to chicken to actually do, so maybe next time.
